‘Ambitious City’ video garners national nod … and makes history

A slick video pitch from the city’s economic development department has won a national marketing award from the Economic Developers Association of Canada.
The video, “The Ambitious City,” beat 27 other submissions in the best promotional video category.
“We are so pleased with this latest achievement, and so very proud of the piece,” Neil Everson, director of the city’s Economic Development Office, said in a statement. “This video isn’t even a year old and already it’s achieved so much — including the most watched video in the City of Hamilton’s history with over 38,000 views.”
The video was judged on several criteria, including creativity, uniqueness, user friendliness, and completeness and consistency of approach.
