Hydro One Networks Inc. is wholly owned by the Government of Ontario and is responsible for 97 per cent of Ontario's electricity transmission system and about one-third of the province's distribution system. The 28,600 kilometre high voltage system transmits electricity from generating facilities across the province to local distribution companies, municipal utilities and large industrial consumers. It delivers electricity safely, reliably and responsibly to homes and businesses across the province of Ontario, including areas within the City of Hamilton.

Natural Gas

Natural gas is available throughout Hamilton and is a major source for fuel and heating for both the residential and commercial markets. Service is now provided by three companies.

Hamilton's Water and Wastewater Division is responsible for Hamilton's municipal water supply and treatment. Lake Ontario is used as the main source of water supply for Hamilton.
