The Commercial District Revitalization Grant Program aims to strengthen Hamilton’s commercial districts by funding long-lasting improvements that enhance building façades, accessibility, and environmental sustainability. By incentivizing projects that improve the visual appeal and functionality of commercial spaces, the program contributes to vibrant, inclusive, and economically resilient business areas across the city.

Eligibility
This applies within all Strategic Commercial Districts (including any Business Improvement Area (BIA) located therein).
Amount
The maximum grant amount under this program is paid on a matching (50-50) basis for eligible work. For maximum amounts and details, please refer to the full program description.

Grants for Graffiti Removal
On Dec. 11, 2024, City Council approved permanent changes to the Commercial District Revitalization Grant Program, which provides grants for removing graffiti on commercial and mixed-use properties located within strategic commercial districts and corridors.
Commercial property owners or businesses may submit applications.
